Description We are offering a contract for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join our team in Miramar, Florida. As a Payroll Tax Analyst, you will be involved in a range of duties from tax compliance to the preparation and filing of tax returns at local, state, and federal levels. Responsibilities: Preparation and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets for tax payments scheduling Compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations Electronic and telephonic tax payments Creation and maintenance of business process documentation related to payroll tax filings and system updates Reconciliation of annual state and local reporting Assistance in reconciliation, printing, and mailing of W-2s Research and rectification of any system errors within the payroll system in accordance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines Maintenance of tax spreadsheets with taxable wages, taxes withheld, and taxes paid by reporting frequency Research and reconciliation of tax liabilities and payments to GL monthly Assistance in preparation of quarterly 941, 940, FUTA, and SUI tax returns and payments Requirements Proficiency in Payroll and Payment Processing Strong experience with Tax Accounting and Reconciliations Demonstrated ability to adhere to Compliance Procedures and Practices Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other Spreadsheets Experience in Reporting, Research, and Research Analysis Ability to handle Check Processing and Filing tasks Knowledge of Payroll Functions and relevant Tax laws Comfortable with Video communication and Printing tasks Ability to conduct detail oriented Correspondence Proficient Typing skills Knowledge of the 'About Time' software Background in Finance is preferred.
