Performance Test Engineer (

Job Number: 2221621 ) As a Penske Test Engineer your primary focus will be on automating test execution and evaluating results. You will work with an agile development team as a primary contributor to development, integration, and deployment of automated system tests, ensuring quality, reliability, usability, and performance of new features. This will include participating in agile best practices and ceremonies, including use case development, story writing, grooming, and story pointing daily stand-ups, demos and retrospectives. Working under the direction of the Manager of QA and senior Automated QA Engineers, you will collaborate with other IT teams (product management, testing engineers, software engineers and architects) to provide input on end user and API interfaces and progress status reporting, as well as maintain a clear understanding of the applications business area and its requirements. Requirements
  • Performance testing process knowledge
  • Understand and collaborate on application design and technical implementation
  • Review application & system design documents
  • Creation and maintenance of performance test plans, test strategy, application metrics, acceptance criteria
  • Measure and analyze performance data (Production & QA)
  • Simulating system load behavior using enterprise tools
  • API performance testing
  • Angular apps performance testing
  • Analyzing complex problems, help in troubleshooting in case of Production issues, provide recommendations.
  • Engage in multiple initiatives across organization.
  • Maintain test scripts, results.
  • Work closely with development team, Architects, and engineers to test products. Make recommendations based on results.
Qualifications (Please add to this section)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area.
  • At least 5 years experience in testing and at least 2 years experience in creation, execution and reporting of performance test scripts,
  • Must have a practical understanding of QA principles, concepts, measures, industry best practices and standards.
  • Understanding of Agile testing methodologies required.
  • Performance testing with web applications, web services and api experience required
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira preferred
  • Advanced understanding of technology (i.e. OS layer, database layer, application layer, network, etc.)
  • Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle); STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) required
  • Experience with Performance testing tools like jmeter and LoadRunner a plus
  • Development experience in C, JAVA or similar languages a plus
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues with the environment
  • Ability to efficiently evaluate and communicate test results
  • Effective organization skills; ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
