JOB SUMMARY: This is a highly responsible position in the Office of Workforce Management (OWM) Human Resource Office. Providing HR consulting services for the Department of Revenue related to the Attendance and Leave Programs and Benefits. Duties include:

Processing Sick Leave Pool (SLP) and Sick Leave Transfer (SLT) Cases.

Processing Separation Leave Audits for separating employees.

Provide correspondence, reports and/or complete forms for employees, and/or vendors regarding attendance and leave.

Manage the Ask Benefits email account, forwarding customer emails to the appropriate staff for review and response.

Provide technical assistance to management and supervisor regarding attendance and leave in the People First System and FLAIR.

Provide the Benefits Manager with input for updates and recommended on policy and procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) webpage information, and pre-formatted communications and articles.

Assist with the development of employee training materials, communications, and forms related to attendance and leave.

Performs other related duties as required, including but not limited to, special projects, annual leave related tasks, and working in other areas as resources are needed or as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or its equivalent.

One year of experience working in an office environment, applying rules, regulations, policies and procedures to employees and management.

Must have excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive mind set.

Must have experience writing HR-related correspondence and must be able to verbally communicate with customers about processes and required standards.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task to meet established deadlines.

Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite and have the ability to learn other programs and technologies.

PREFERENCES:

Three to five years of experience working in a Human Resources Office.

One to three years working in the People First System for a State Agency.

Knowledge and understand of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Rule 60L-34.

Experience processing the state’s Sick Leave Programs.

SALARY: $42,000.00 annually.
