As a Product Owner you will work alongside a team of talented software developers, testers, and documentation writers to bring to life exciting new Manufacturing Execution Software products. You will guide and influence the team to ensure solutions they deliver achieves the desired business objectives and meets the needs of our customers. Our Life Sciences Manufacturing Execution System team helps pharmaceutical companies get life-changing medications into the hands of patients faster and safer than ever before by maximizing the efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes. You will have the flexibility to work remotely and/or in either of the Bradenton, Fl or Austin, Tx Emerson offices. AS A PRODUCT OWNER, YOU WILL: Provide the voice of the customer to the team to ensure they understand how the work they are doing relates to the needs of the business and our customers. Collaborate with your team to define the teams objectives and ensure the team remains focused on meeting those objectives. Work with product managers to define features for development in the future. Own the teams backlog and prioritize user stories to meet the needs of the business and our customer in the most effective way possible. Work with the Scrum Master to identify, manage, and coordinate dependencies with other teams. Actively seek feedback from business stakeholders and relay it to the team. WHO YOU ARE: Customer focused with a solid understanding of Life Science Processes and how Manufacturing Execution Software is utilized by our customers. A balanced decision maker who looks at situations from many different perspectives before making an informed decision. Good at planning and prioritizing the work needed to meet commitments and can rally a team to meet those commitments A good communicator with the ability to communicate with clarity technical and non-technical information to a wide range of audiences A negotiator who can negotiate in a win-win environment Driven to create great products that delight our customers REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, plus 5+ years experience Solid domain knowledge of Life Science Processes and the application of Manufacturing Execution Software to automate those processes. The ability to clearly communicate on technical topics at a variety of levels and to different audiences within the department PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Experience with product development Recipe Authoring experience Experience working in an Agile environment
