Program Manager

Position: Program Manager Duration: 1 year Location: Tallahassee, FL (Remote) Tasks/Responsibilities 1) Managing one (1) or more highly complex or DEO wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects; 2) Developing the program strategy; 3) Supporting business case and various DEO wide, high level project plans; 4) Ensuring integration of projects and adjusting project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of DEO; 5) Communicating with IT leadership, DEO leadership, and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction, and changes; 6) Delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements; 7) Tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments of project plans and/or resources to Project Managers; 8) Partnering with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of DEO; 9) Identifying resource needs; 10) Performing quality reviews; 11) Escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately; 12) Coordinating communication with all areas of DEO that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed; and 13) Coordinating status reports and stability of project area work efforts. Knowledge, skills, and abilities:) 1) Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience; 2) A minimum of ten (10) years of IT and business/industry work experience; 3) A minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience and a minimum of five (5) years of experience with managing projects; 4) A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with working under general direction for mid to senior level management; 5) A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP); 6) Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools; 7) Leadership experience with managing and completing complex projects relevant to both IT and business needs within DEO; and 8) A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with IT and project management as it pertains to program areas such as reemployment services and/or community development or equivalent governmental programs
