Your Specific Responsibilities: Responsible for complex administrative work providing operational and management coordination for the HIV/AIDS program in Brevard County, functioning under the direct supervision of the Community Health Nursing Director. The comprehensive AIDS Programs include but are not limited to HIV testing/anonymous testing, records maintenance, counseling, program and educational planning, AIDS surveillance, and reporting, ADAP and early intervention services management. Responsible for all required reports for HIV/AIDS following the policies of the Department of Health and the Brevard County Health Department. Responsible for quality control in HIV and AIDS unit. Provides analysis and planning for ongoing programs for HIV/AIDS. Evaluates operations, sets priorities, ensures grant requirements are met and maintains fiscal accountability. Functions as the HIV/AIDS Program Contract Monitor. Charged with reviewing all external and internal new and revised HIV/AIDS contracts for continuity and standardization. Responsible for surveillance of HIV and AIDS cases in Brevard. Responsible for directing initial and ongoing HIV services to the public, such as rapid, anonymous, and confidential testing, counseling, medication allocations and management of early intervention services of HIV cases according to state policies and protocols. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of working in confidential healthcare setting. Experience managing HIV (Ryan White) client caseload in healthcare setting. Knowledge of electronic client management programs. Ability to work collaboratively with HIV agency management. Qualifications: Minimum - Six years of experience in HIV project management. Bachelor degree in a health of Science related field. Proficiency in the following electronic client management systems: CARWare, Provide Enterprise, Surveillance Tools and Reporting System (STARS). Possess current 501 HIV Counseling and Testing Certificate. Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain within 90 days. Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This includes emergency duties including, but not limited to, response to threats involving any disaster, man-made or natural. Current Florida Department of Health employee Preferred – Proficiency in Spanish, to including speaking, reading, writing. Experience communicating results after testing/treatment/counseling clients with a sexually transmitted disease.
