Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Manager - Utilities will provide strategic support for the creation and establishment of market specific utility accounts. The qualified candidate must possess the ability to identify, design and coordinate construction of various utility connections for wireless communication sites. A Project Manager - Utilities will collaborate with various teams within the market and HQ along with vendors to help setup utilityaccounts, maintain best practices, conduct design audits, manage service delivery and establish long term relationships with local utility providers. Primary responsibilities include:- Coordinate with local utilitiesfor services to wireless communication facilities
- Establishing electrical accounts, work orders and meter sets
- Review and redline construction drawings, as requiredwith utility service planners for accurate routing designs and service delivery requirements
- Accurately forecasting and managing utility connections
- Provide tracking and identification of critical path items for market real estate and construction resources
- Ensure that power and fiber optics deliveries are synchronized with construction activities
- Provides program management including reporting and data integrity, processes and best practices
- Report project status and performance data to management
- Managing relationships with vendors and utility companies
- Work as a liaison between multiple interested parties to create solutions and prevent service disruptions
- Interface with multiple teams to ensure project completion on time and within budget
- Bachelor's Degree, PMP or minimum of 3 years' of experience in Project Management or Network Deployment
- Experience working with fiber and power companies, with an understanding of scheduling walks and dealing with meter sets
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- A successful track record of construction projects (on time, within budget)
- An adventurous spirit; flexible, innovative, and capable of managing multiple projects and responsibilities in extreme time-critical settings
- Results focused leadership using energetic and positive communication skills
- Natural ability to work with all levels of management, staff, and vendors
- An affinity for analytics, acute attention to detail, and decisive in nature
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and research skills required
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects
- Wireless telecom industry experience is preferred but not required
