Doran Jones Inc. is looking for a QA Automation Developer to help with the delivery of projects for a multinational financial services firm. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing automated testing standards to increase release reliability. The business domain is Operational and Compliance Risk, both of which are critical to the organization.Responsibilities

    • Learn new business domains and usage scenarios and work with user and/or business analysts to specify test suites that cover all variations in each usage scenario.
    • Understand the SDLC cycle and the need for repeatable, tagged builds.
    • Determine necessary/critical measures for essential test coverage.
    • Work alongside the development team and know when to push back and when to yield based on the issue.
Required Experience
    • 3+ Years with SoapUI or equivalent automated server-side testing tool
    • 3+ Years of experience with one or more API-focused automated testing frameworks
    • 3+ Years of experience with one or more UI-focused automated testing frameworks, commercial or open source
    • 3+ Years working with Selenium/XML/HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Document Object Model (DOM)
    • 3+ Years of experience working in an Agile environment, tracking work, and logging defects in Jira
    • 3+ Years of experience with XML and JSON
    • Experience working with Python or scripting language that can orchestrate test cases
    • Prior experience designing/building successful QA Automation suites in Financial Services, with Capital Markets and/or Risk & Risk Regulatory Compliance experience is highly desired
    • Strong communication skills
    • Understanding of and/or experience with model-driven verification (automated generation of expected results)
    • Understanding of and/or experience with defect analysis and reporting
    • Experience with git source code control, in particular, alternate branching/merging models
    • Understanding of data-driven test techniques
    • Experience preferred with testing all aspects of large applications, including functional testing, data quality testing, performance testing, failover, and restart/recovery testing
    • Worked with Jira/Confluence
    • Worked with Jenkins / BMC Release Management
    • Worked with Apache Tomcat or another application container
Preferred Experience
    • Domain knowledge in one or more areas of Enterprise Risk Management: Market, Credit or Operational Risk
    • Experience with SQL, as part of automating and testing applications within various relational databases (Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle)
    • Experience with Tableau
    • Consulting experience
    • Scrum Master experience
