Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

:

This position is for the Management Representative for the Quality System (Quality Manager at the ECoE facility). Responsibilities involve Quality management/monitoring of all operations and procedures, including NDT, CMM, Calibration, Internal and supplier audits, contract and purchase order reviews, the engineering New Product Introduction (NPI) process, etc. Additionally, responsibilities include review/writing of specifications, procedures, manuals, and implementing engineering orders/publication amendments. Further, the execution drive of the corrective action system and training compliance per system requirements of ISO9001/AS9100 and ISO 17025 are key responsibilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:

· Ensures compliance with Company Management System and Manuals. Must be aware of ISO9001 & AS9100 quality requirements. Sees that all department employees are aware of quality program and policies.

· Oversee the training of NDT personnel, testing and certification & monitor the workmanship of NDT personnel.

· Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and provide technical support.

· Manage the following quality production areas to support operations and production: Receiving Inspection, Final Inspection, NDT, Engineering Design, Purchase Orders and Contracts as well as Export compliance.

· Shop traveler and document review and evaluation of escapes or turn backs.

· Adhere to all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties.

· Enforces safety and Chromalloy policies within the workplace.

· Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.

· Regular and reliable attendance.

· Monthly Heat Map reviews of the Quality Management System.

· Provide input and manage the Management Review Meeting process process.

The marginal duties and responsibilities (performed occasionally or at irregular intervals) for this position are:

· Strategic Planning

· Manage CI events, Kizan events and run K4 level projects

· Review and rewrite quality procedures

· Statistical reporting

· Inspection and testing as required

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

:

The specific EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE requirements of this position are:

· BS in engineering, business or quality

· Able to read, write and understand English

· Must possess basic math skills and understanding of statistical techniques

· Hold a certification is six sigma at a green belt level or willing to attend the Chromalloy certification program

· Blueprint and Models interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

· Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

· NDT and CMM experience (Helpful)

· Experience with technical writing and understanding specifications, manuals, procedures etc.

· Experience with overhaul & repair or manufacturing processes for turbine engine components

· Supervisory/management experience with both hourly/salary employees

The specific SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE required for this position are:

· Very knowledgeable in NDT

· Quality & project goal orientated

· Have solid technical background

· Good understanding of fabrication processes

· Good communication skills
