Job Title: Quality Control ManagerJob DescriptionAs a Quality Control Manager, you will oversee and enforce project site quality control, including assessing and controlling risk, performing tests and analyzing results, planning, developing, and directing the application of processes to maintain quality standards, and initiating and enforcing improvement measures related to quality control findings.Project: At close out phase for flight simulator project. Only 3 months left, then will move to next project. Needs to be open to traveling. The needed QC will be responsible for close-out procedures of this project. Looking for someone to start immediately and will go through December/January, then move to next project pending performance. Hard Skills

Overseeing construction projects from start to finish with a focus on quality control

Conducting preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to establish standards of care

Verifying and documenting materials received for the project

Conducting required meetings with USACE, superintendent, foreman, and subcontractor

Reviewing plans, specifications, construction cost data, and other contract documents

Reviewing shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications

Performing specified or required tests to verify control measures

Overseeing work of subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations

Collaborating with the project superintendent and maintaining project 'as-built' drawings

Developing, updating, and maintaining project submittal log and other quality control reporting

Providing written daily QC reports

Scheduling and documenting inspections required to conform to project contract requirements

Verifying necessary inspections, approvals, and certifications by appropriate agencies

Assembling and forwarding project closeout documents

Using discretion to stop work if necessary to resolve safety, quality, or progress issues

Advising on changes to methods and materials for use in projects

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management and have a minimum of 5 years of Construction Management experience specific to Corps of Engineers’ projects.

Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective quality control systems in compliance with contract requirements on USACE and other federal projects including field experience providing oversight on construction site work activities.

Experience using Army RMS/QCS system

Working knowledgeable of construction, building and construction materials, methods, terminology, phases, documentation, and the tools involved in the construction, repair or remodeling of structures and sites to assist in quality control management system implementation on a project site.

Strong knowledge of project plans, specifications, shop drawings, samples and testing to assist in quality control management.

Good understanding of administrative and management principles involved in project planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources to assist in quality control management.

Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry.

Ability to utilize current programs, as well as the ability to create and administer new QC programs.

Ability to manage time efficiently.

Must possess ability to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.

Current credentials showing the completion of the course “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” offered by USACE.

OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health training within the last 5 years.
