• Working as the technical quality engineering expert, providing technical guidance in test design, test development and automation activities as needed;
• Recommending new technologies to create quality and productivity;
• Working in concert with Quality Engineering and Software Engineering leadership to establish automation standards and procedures;
• Acting as the Quality Owner for one or more products, owning and designing test automation scripts for complex features across the product(s);
• Collaborating with Software Engineering team members to help with troubleshooting of problems, early identification of defects, creating unit tests, and obtaining root cause analysis as well as impact analysis;
• Sharing testing artifacts with non-QA team members such as product owners, to obtain their inputs and approval;
• Creating automation frameworks / using existing automation framework to deliver in-sprint test automation;
• Being able to automate regression test suites with tools like Robot Framework, Java Selenium, Postman, and Sauce Labs;
• Gathering and analyzing product requirements to plan automation, performance/load testing approach;
• Creating test data using automated methods, assisting with test environment management, verification of defect fixes, storing testing evidence and providing QA signoff;
• Understanding requirements from a business perspective to be validated through testing;
• Understanding of the SLA activities expected to deliver custom developed and packaged applications;
• Developing and monitoring test plans with respect to those requirements;
• Assisting with post-production activities such as verification of any reported production bugs, ensuring that they are being tracked to resolution per established SLAs;
• Experience leading QA and/or UAT teams of size around 10 test engineers;
• Experience reporting, validating, prioritizing, tracking and escalating issues / bugs identified during QA/UAT testing;
• Experience devising alternative solutions, workarounds, shortcuts (as needed), in case tasks/activities do not work as planned;
• Demonstrating experience with manual testing and automated testing;
• Nice to have experience with mobile testing, non-functional testing (such as performance, load, usability, security, stress, and scalability), and continuous testing (CI/CD, DevOps);
• Demonstrating thorough verbal and written communication skills;
• Demonstrating experience using Jira Software and/or Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS);
• Demonstrating thorough presentation skills using GSuite tools or Office 365;
• Being able to work in a fast-paced environment with ambitious deadlines;
• Demonstrating ability to lead teams across global hub locations (onshore, offshore, and/or near shore).
