Job Description:We are looking for a passionate dedicated RN to work in our Radiology Special Procedures department. As a Registered Nurse (RN) some of your primary responsibilities will be to:

Demonstrate awareness of and respect for patient/family/SO needs in relation to confidentiality, privacy, security, complaint resolution and spiritual and cultural needs.

Address all patients by name and introduce self as caregiver.

Demonstrate knowledge of specific disease process, treatments, interventions and response based on age specificity.

Administer medications according to the seven (7) rights of medication administration.

Demonstrate competency in IV Therapy administration.

Administer and monitor patients receiving blood and blood products per policy.

Report pertinent changes in patient's status to physician.

Demonstrate skill and knowledge base of all routine and specialized equipment used in the performance of duties.

Immediately respond to emergencies or acute changes in patient status.

Ensure continuity of care through accurate and consistent communication with healthcare providers

Demonstrate competency in placement of PICC lines and assessment of patient.

Maintain standards of professional nursing and supports the mission and vision of University Hospital and Medical Center.Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida o or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support Course (PALS) and certification preferred.

Two (2) year Associate Degree (ASN).

Four (4) year Bachelor Degree (BSN) preferred.

PICC Line Insertion Training and/or experience preferred.

1-2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required.
