Our client is actively looking for a Data Analytics lead who enjoys collaborating with various business partners to leverage and visualize large data sets to solve complex problems. The role will be hands-on and expected to develop and deliver highly analytical tools and solutions while applying existing knowledge and teaching others. This person will work with various corporate and regional stakeholders to identify, harvest, and curate datasets for consumption across the organization. The individual will be a total professional who can communicate throughout the organization. They will aggregate multiple data asks into cohesive requirements and be able to teach new methodologies and technologies to people throughout the organization. This position will operate onsite in their Orlando location.
Responsibilities- Find and analyze risk data to better understand potential risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions
- Understands logical data modeling for the creation and support of a semantic data layer
- Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment
- Create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results in an easy-to-understand and clear manner
- Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data
- Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
- Identify trends that may present a risk to the company
- Monitor internal and external data points that may affect the risk level of a decision
- Work with other data analysts to analyze performance and interpret results
- Communicate analysis with relevant internal and external stakeholders in a concise manner
- Creates high-level training programs for rollout to the organization
- BS/BA or higher required with a Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- 3 years of experience performing data analysis; experience prototyping and developing reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or MicroStrategy is highly preferred
- Experience with analyzing large data and complex data sets and working in spreadsheet applications
- Strong design, coding, debugging, and analytical skills, especially across a cloud data ecosystem
- Knowledge of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance and Employee Benefits insurance
- Knowledge of Power BI and or Snowflake
- 5 years of related experience
- Software development or coding experience
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. M, DAX, SQL )
- Self-motivated and driven self-starter
- Works collaboratively with others, and effectively communicates complex analysis, solutions, limits, and options to technical and non-technical audiences
