This project is in the proposal stage, we’re awaiting to be awarded the contract.This position is in support of the County of Sarasota Florida to provide care for those with special needs who are displaced in the event of a largescale disaster. This position requires the individual to be able to respond to a disaster with in 24 hours of notice and to establish care with in 72 hours of notification. This is a post disaster mission and will require the individual to be onsite until conclusion of the operation.   The Respiratory Therapist is required to provide quality respiratory care to our patients, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment. Key Responsibilities:Accountable for maintaining all skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe, effective and developmentally appropriate respiratory care to all patients. Plans for patient’s respiratory care needs in collaboration with other members of the care team to provide the highest quality of clinical outcomes Safely performs various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines and policies to provide safe patient care. Accurately and reliably interprets and communicates patient results to support patient care.  Documents interventions performed and response to therapies in the electronic medical record to result in compliant and useful documentation. Interacts with and explains therapeutic modalities to patients, families and the interdisciplinary team in an understandable manner based on learning styles and individual diversity to ensure collaborative care coordination. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
