Orange Ave., Suite 402, Orlando, FL 32804The role you’ll contribute:The RN Navigator coordinates all services required to provide multidisciplinary, quality assured, and appropriate care to oncology patients. The RN Navigator serves as a primary point of contact for patients referred to oncology outpatient services to assure patients have appropriate and timely imaging, infusion, lab, surgery, and physician or APP follow up care. In addition, this position assists in obtaining authorizations for oncology care including medical office procedures. The RN Navigator serves as a resource for patients, physicians, and others serving in the role of coordinating care for oncology patients. The RN Navigator actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that fosters whole person care.The value you’ll bring to the team:
Collaborates with Imaging Coordinator, AHCI RN Navigator, and referring providers in navigating patients from treatment planning, medical management, and surveillance assuring patients have appropriate, timely medical and supportive services.
Serve as an education resource for patients and families on treatment planning and medical management.
Assists in obtaining necessary authorizations for oncology visits and outpatient, medical office procedures.
Facilitates communication between healthcare team, patients, other departments, and outside entities by answering phone calls, responding to emails and messages to/from EMR and patient portal.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:Minimum qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
1-2 years of professional nursing experience
Current valid State of Florida RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
1 – 2 years of professional nursing experience in oncology
National Certification: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation
