Position Summary:

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for continuously measuring, assessing and improving the delivery of services through individual and department participation in the Hospital-wide Performance Improvement Program. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains records and Performance Improvement documentation to support credentialing.
  • Assists with the coordination of Hospital-wide PI Teams.
  • Facilitates Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode Effect Analysis as needed/requested, to promote efficient and effective use of quality tools to improve patient safety and outcomes.
  • When opportunities for improvement require an interdisciplinary/interdepartmental approach, submits the appropriate documentation to the Quality Committee

Qualifications

  • 2 year Associate’s Degree required

  • RN (Registered Nurse) license

  • 1-3 years of related quality improvement experience required

  • Knowledge of Quality and Risk Management activities

  • Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, and grammar/spelling skills needed

  • Strong computer skills to include Meditech, Microsoft Word, and Excel
