SUMMARY: The Senior Data Analyst will partner with a variety of business lines to ensure all data solutions provide meaningful/actionable insights. The Senior Data Analyst will leverage a variety of their skills to build, innovate, and maintain a variety of different data solutions to tackle business problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.- Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization
- Build well-managed data solutions, tools, models, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers (e.g., creating logistical regression models, etc.)
- Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives
- Drive analysis that provides meaningful insights on business strategies that are clear, concise, and actionable
- Drive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
- Work collaboratively with appropriate Tech (e.g., data science, etc.) teams to manage security mechanisms, data access governance, and project execution
- Mentor team members in how to build a sustainable well-managed data solution
- Perform and manage all the end-to-end steps required for analyses including requirements gathering, methodology development, data pulling, data processing, analysis, insight formulation and results delivery
- Ability to work effectively with data science and engineering partners to meet the data needs of the business, translating business needs into analytical requirements
- Prepare reports and exhibits, as needed; leverage story-telling skills to deliver key insights
- Develop benchmarks, robust reporting, interactive dashboards, and key metrics across business channels to optimize profitability, revenue, and sales growth
- Perform client profiling, behavior analysis and segmentation in support of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy development and impact assessment
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
- 5 years of experience in data analytics
- Experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization tool (eg, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, QuickSight, etc)
- Experience in querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms (eg, dbt, etc), preferably to have experience utilizing and developing within AWS services
- Experience in at least one scripting language
- Experience working within process management and improvement methodologies (eg, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, etc)
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality management concepts
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Analytical skills and strategic thinker with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, preferably including Power Platform experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and mentoring experience
- Experience with showcasing the value of leveraging data to attain executive buy-in
- Ability to collaborate well with others, initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
