As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will help build features and solutions for WebstaurantStore.com. The work you do will shape the products and tools used across our site and impact the experience of thousands of customers that visit each day.
You will:- Have Front End development experience including working within React frameworks, building state management solutions, configuring Webpack bundle pipelines, and an understanding of advanced TypeScript concepts, and solid HTML/CSS skills
- Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and engineers to prototype and implement features
- Be aware of performance considerations such as cross-browser compatibility, componentization, bundling processes and load-time optimizations
- Work within scrum/agile methodologies
- Help develop standards and procedures to ensure quality standards are met and maintained like accessibility and/or proper typing
- Recommend new technologies and ideas to improve workflows and efficiency
- Review and approve code pull requests
- Mentor junior developers to help them grow
- Take provided requirements, and shape work alongside your manager
- Create and assign work to your team
- Explain work, process and decisions to stakeholders
- Work closely with designers, developers, and engineers
- Participate in code reviews, listening to feedback while sharing your knowledge with other members of the team

- A phone interview with a Team Lead, Manager, or Director to chat about the company, position, and most importantly, learn more about you. We'll contact you after to schedule the next round of interviews or let you know if we don't think you're the right fit.
- A panel interview with a manager or Team Lead, Director of Design, and fellow Developer. We will ask you technical questions relating to your skillset and general questions to assess communication skills and how well you align with our core values.
- A final interview with the VP of Design. We'll either make you an offer, or let you know if we feel that you are not a good fit.
- Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
- Access to a home router and modem.
- A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
- A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
- The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
