System One is seeking a Senior Global Network Manager for a full-time/permanent opportunity in the Greater Tampa area. You will lead the Global Network team across the development, execution and implementation of strategic enterprise projects in Wide Area Network services, Local Area Network, SD-WAN, voice services (including Voice over IP), enterprise connectivity monitoring, high availability and management of related service providers. This person will also serve as a leader and subject matter expert on broader enterprise projects with a focus on Global Network, Telecommunications, and Vendor Management.

  • People Leadership: Lead, develop and coach employees to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and effort.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, and the business.
    • Manage performance issues when necessary. Provide inclusive work environment to ensure diverse and complete solutions.
  • Global Network Management: Provide strategic direction and lead the networking team on tactical planning and implementation for networking technologies including
    • Software defined networking, network load balancing, remote access, and unified communications applications including video conference
    • Lead the implementation of wireless and IP technologies to further leverage new emerging technologies to streamline company communications and data collection processes.
    • Provides primary tier III support of network and servers.
  • Global Vendor Management: Manage global vendors and service providers to ensure service levels agreements are met, new services are implemented per company requirements & standards.
    • Serve as the global subject matter expert for bridging technical and business subject areas as well as evaluating and resolving appropriate risks.
  • Global Telecommunications Management : Lead the continual cost effectiveness, high availability, fast performance, and efficient utilization of the global telecommunications network.
    • Create and deliver updates to stakeholders on project goals, plans, issues, and risks, including progress reports, mitigation, and contingency plans.
  • Global IT Network Projects: Build, develop and lead cross-functional teams in the planning, implementation, and execution of large-scale strategic network projects.
    • Lead execution effectively, timely, and on budget while minimizing any impact to base business, customer service and employee engagement. Lead team to deliver all business case objectives.
    • Challenge the team to be a robust team that identifies solutions to exceed elements of the business case benefits.
    • Insights & Risks: Understand complex problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution, influencing, and raising as necessary to meet timelines. Includes clarifying and defining program requirements / scope for cross-functional problems.
    • Partner closely with other IT functional areas on broader enterprise projects to ensure networking is appropriately represented as part of the overall project and provide subject matter expertise,

Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following:
  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred major in Computer Science or related area
  • CCVP, CCNP and/or CCIE certifications preferred
  • 8+ years of experience working with tier I network service providers
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience as technical lead of network engineering teams
  • In-depth understanding of networking principles including routing (BGP / OSPF / EIGRP / SIP), WAN (Frame-Relay / Private IP / ATM / MPLS / OC3 / EVPN / ISDN / VPN), LAN (Catalyst Switches / VLANs / Spanning Tree), Firewall (Cisco / Juniper), SD-WAN
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IP Routers Switches, WAPS, VoIP, Call Managers and Gatekeeper products. Experience implementing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches
  • Strong knowledge of Call Routing and Inter-Company Voice Call Routing.
  • Experience implementing and operating unified communication applications such as video conference and soft phone.
  • Solid experience implementing and operating WAN/LAN monitoring applications.
  • Must be able to create and manage Operational processes and procedures
  • Strong grasp of current and future technologies including, but not limited to, Advance IP Routing, switching, VoIP, ATM, MPLS, IP, Cisco Call Managers, Unity VM and other emerging network and voice technologies
  • Extensive server knowledge - Intel/ Win and Unix
  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
  • Strong motivational leader that possesses a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
  • Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
  • Experience implementing and operating Citrix NetScaler environments a plus.
