JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the procurement of Furniture, Fixture, and Equipment (FF&E) materials for multiple and simultaneous hotel projects as well as FF&E-related project management including developing project budgets and schedules, product design and specification review, procurement contracting, and oversight of installation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage FF&E process to achieve value and efficiency. Oversee procurement team to maintain budget and schedule. Coordinate with field team to implement FF&E installation.
- Develop and continuously manage milestone schedule for procurement, warehousing, and installation. Identify critical long lead items which could affect the planning and decision-making process.
- Collaborate with Universal Creative teams and coordinate with purchasing agent to optimize strategic sourcing efforts and monitor pricing and added costs to minimize budget impact.
- Execute procurement, freight, warehousing and installation contracts. Administer contracts and all work through closeout.
- Participate in milestone design reviews with interior designers, contractors, and operators.
- Review all designer specifications for accuracy and to insure they are consistent with overall project concept, budget, and industry standards.
- Prepare and execute requests for proposal/requests for information in conjunction with internal business partners in the area of sourcing services and related commodity groups.
- Identify long-term strategy for sourcing services and related commodity groups as well as critical long-term issues that could affect the planning and decision-making process.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Design or Business required.
EXPERIENCE:5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement of complex commodities with a focus on hospitality projects. Experience with construction and professional service agreements. Ability to prepare and negotiate proposals related to Lump Sum and Fixed Fee; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
