Summary:

The Audit Management Lead is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of audits and related activities involving or supported by I&T, and for helping to drive the completion of audit recommendations and related action items.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Audit Management

  • Establish processes to identify, track and ensure the successful completion of audits related to or supported by I&T.
  • Drive the completion of audit recommendations and related action items.
  • Develop processes to ensure audit recommendations and related action items are actioned on in a manner that addresses the current risk and prevents reoccurrence.
  • Develop processes to drive accountability for audit findings and meet I&T goals of zero repeat audit findings.
  • Collaborate throughout the I&T organization to implement proactive measures, such as self-assessment to prevent audit recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively across I&T organization and with leadership to implement procedures, tracking mechanisms, and reporting processes.

Audit Management Reporting & Metrics

  • Responsible for the creation of living dashboards that support audit status reporting and understanding of impact to CSL and our patients, donors and people and drives continuous process improvement across I&T.
  • Collaborate across the I&T organization to give visibility to and escalate points of improvements.

Quality Support

  • Work closely with the Quality organization to ensure audit recommendations and remediation align with Quality procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with I&T Risk Performance Lead to run Quality Management Reporting (QMR) meetings for the I&T organization ensuring accuracy of reporting and supporting reduction of risk.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; education preferably concentrated in IT, Application Development, Engineering or Science
  • 7+ years of experience in IT working within an IT security or applicable function that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
  • Experience working within a global, matrix organization.
  • Experience working in a controlled regulatory environment.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.
  • Risk Management experience.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Standards and frameworks — for example, International Standards Organization (ISO) 27001, IT Infrastructure Library and ISO 20000, Capability Maturity Model Integration and Six Sigma
  • Common risk management methodologies — for example, Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology and Committee of Sponsoring Organizations Enterprise Risk Management

  • Tactical enterprise-wide view of the business knowledge of strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations, workshop facilitation and delivery, and other non-traditional forms of communication – capable of framing the problem in a meaningful and applicable manner
  • Collaborative mindset able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
