Senior Pipefitter / Field Lead – Steam & Gas Systems

Southern Combustion Services is a Florida-based mechanical contractor specializing in process heating systems — including industrial burners, boilers, ovens, and combustion controls. We serve manufacturing plants, food processors, and industrial facilities throughout the region.

We’re seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter who takes pride in their work and is ready to grow with a trusted and respected team.

Responsibilities:

Layout and install gas, steam and hot water piping systems

Fit pipe for welders; assist in boiler assembly and repair

Take accurate field measurements and read blueprints

Cut, thread, weld, and assemble piping to specifications

Hydrostatic and pressure testing of systems

Perform pump changeouts and general boiler labor

Fabricate custom parts and structural elements

Travel as needed to job sites across Florida (primarily day trips)

Occasional overnight travel within the state of Florida.

Requirements:

5+ years pipefitting and welding experience in industrial environments

Familiarity with boilers, burners, and pressure vessels

Ability to read technical drawings and execute complex layouts

Must have 6G Welding certification

Strong mechanical aptitude and safety mindset

Valid Florida driver’s license

Must be able to pass the JLA background check

Compensation & Benefits:

$27- $35/hour based on experience
