PurposeOur Client is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Technology and Innovation Department (The Department), Business Engagement and Professional Services, Division. The position will report to the Deputy Director – Technology and Innovation.

General DescriptionThis is responsible professional and technical work in directing and coordinating projects in analysis, design, selection, acquisition, planning, and implementation of computer business process solutions. Work involves consulting with customers to gather information and determine requirements for information systems, coordinating and directing appropriate technological solutions.

Scope of Work/Job Characteristics The Contractor shall provide the temporary Consultant(s) selected to provide the full time tasks listed below, and who shall be located remote with periodic site visits to Tallahassee, FL during normal business hours, to be determined based on project requirements and agreed to by the consultant and the Department. For purposes of this agreement, normal business hours are defined as Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, Eastern Time (ET), excluding State of Florida observed holidays.

Software/hardware details From Client: We are primarily a Windows on premise server-based organization, but we do have some systems in AWS. VMWare is our virtual server solution. As for our software environment, most of our software is vendor supported. The candidate in this position will work closely with internal Technology & Innovation divisions such as the Enterprise Infrastructure group, the Software Services group, and the Innovation group, as well as vendors in completing projects.

MANDATORY Technical/Business Skill Set Requirements (must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks)• Bachelor's Degree, in computer science, management information systems, business or public administration, or a related field and four years of technical or professional experience that includes computer systems analysis/business process analysis; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A master’s degree in computer science may be substituted for one year of the required experience.The contract person will be a part of the PMO (Project Management Office) and will be assigned projects as they are requested. As such, as stated above, project requests can come from any department within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and organizational skills, as they will need to manage multiple projects at a time.The selected consultant must successfully complete a criminal background check including fingerprints prior to start date. Must obtain Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) certification within 30 days of employment.Have Minimum 10+ years of IT and business/industry work experience, the Consultant(s) shall perform the following tasks:• Coordinate and directs team(s), resources, and manages information technological projects. • Plans, organizes, and oversees the work of teams(s) engaged in the study, design, implementation and maintenance of information systems. • Coordinate implementation of changes recommended by project teams and the development of training plans, support structures, and processes for system(s) implementation. • Manage contractors and vendors. • Initiate reviews, surveys, or studies of business processes and procedures. • Analyze integrated networked systems concepts in a multi-platform environment. • Analyze cost statistics and prepares economic comparisons of alternatives. • Organize and prepare technical documentation. • Design procedures and schedules for supplementary recommendations and coordinates implementation.

Preferred Qualifications include:The Department prefers the candidate has the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification;• Knowledge of project management methodology (i.e. Agile, Waterfall)

ReportingThe Consultant(s) shall provide progress/status reports to the Department on a weekly basis. Progress/status reports shall include a list of activities completed by the Consultant(s) during the reporting period.

Project TimesheetsThe Consultant(s) shall provide evidence of number of hours completed and projects worked on during a reporting period. Project timesheets shall support the weekly progress/status report.The Project timesheet is due the last day of each month. The Project timesheet must be signed by the Consultant(s) and approved by the Contractor or Consultant(s)’supervisor and the Department’s designated Contract Manager and/or Program Manager.

The Contractor must complete the Department’s Security Awareness Training within 30 calendar days of starting, and must pass a Level II Background screen prior to accessing the CLIENT system.
