As the first customer of our own products and services, Microsoft Digital’s charter is to influence and work with engineering teams across the company to build and grow the cloud products and services we deploy to enterprise customers at scale across the globe.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll work on a range of modern cloud and data-centric technologies Azure app services (e.g., web sites), data systems (e.g., Kusto, Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB) and machine learning technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks)Key responsibilities:Design, build and ship features of our services using big data and machine learning technologies.

Full engagement in agile-based software development.

Work with peers and partners across disciplines to deliver maximum innovation and impact.

QualificationsRequired qualifications:3+ years of experience as a software engineer, developing and shipping software in C#, Python, Java, or modern language equivalent.

2+ years of experience building with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow), deploying production-quality machine learning products, and fine tuning model results based on business metrics.

2+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as Azure.

2+ years of experience building production-quality data processing systems (e.g., Spark/PySpark, Databricks, SQL, Azure Data Lake, Kusto, Azure Synapse).

Agile methodology experience.

Computer Science degree or demonstrable equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working with collaborative filtering and content-based filtering models.

Passion for machine learning and data security.

Strong analytical mind and a confident decision maker.

Experience contributing to architecture and design of new/existing systems.

Excellent computer science fundamentals in algorithmic design, data structures, and analyzing complexity.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate well, both technically and interpersonally.

Ability to balance competing demands and adapt to changing priorities.
