Publix is able to offer virtual employment for this position in the following states: FL, GA, AL, TN, SC, NC, VA Seeking a Software Engineer who will play a key role in software and development in the flagship Publix.com environment leveraging technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, Azure SQL, and Sitecore for UX across a core .NET and web skillset. You will work with a highly technical development team to develop software solutions across the Publix.com Account Engineering landscape. The most suitable hire for this position will be a technical candidate with strong analytical, problem solving, and development skills, including the ability to troubleshoot detailed issues in a complex environment and to communicate complicated topics effectively at multiple levels.- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline like Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in application development using .NET, ASP.NET, C# and SQL
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with relational databases and querying complex data
- Minimum of 5 years of strong experience in working with and troubleshooting complex interconnected systems
- Experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed internet facing environment.
- Positive attitude to improve our customers lives.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and 8+ years of working experience or no degree and 10+ years of working experience
- 7+ years of experience in application development using .NET, ASP.NET, C# and SQL skill set.
- 7+ years of experience designing and developing websites running in a multi-platform distributed environment
- 7+ years of experience with relational databases with strong SQL skills working with complex data models
- Experience with Sitecore or a similar Content Management System
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Experience with MVC and other design patterns
- Experience with Azure DevOps and with CI/CD using DevOps or a similar tool
- Experience with unit testing experience using tools such as NUnit or XUnit,
- Experience with ORM such as Dapper or Entity Framework
- Experience with dependency injection
- Experience in analyzing and tuning the performance of complex systems
- Experience in working with complex systems within an Azure-hosted environment
- Experience with Redis or a similar distributed caching platform
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or a similar messaging solution
- Experience with scrum or other agile development methodology
