Niceville, FL, USA | Full Time Job Title: Senior Test Engineer Location: Eglin AFB, FL (On-Site) Canvas is seeking qualified candidates to support the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS contract at Eglin AFB in Florida. The 780th Test Squadron is the Air Force's developmental test agency for air-to-air, air-to-ground and direct fire munitions. The individual should have a working knowledge of USAF and/or USN fighter/bomber tactics and employment. Prior experience in developmental or operational testing is highly desired. Aircrew experience is highly desired. This announcement may be used to fill multiple vacancies. Duties:
Develop test planning documentation for an emerging weapon program.
Forecast test assets and range requirements.
Integrate with program offices and prime contractors.
Act a test director during mission execution.
Brief and debrief executing aircrew on mission requirements.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Engineering and at least ten years of acquisition experience including at least six years of T&E experience or equivalent.
Familiarity with instrumentation, range, aircraft, aircrew, data and safety constraints associated with developmental test.
Experience with developmental testing in a highly classified environment up to Special Access Program levels.
Experience or familiarity with MRTFB testing at locations such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, White Sands Missile Range, and others.
Ability to communicate clearly to multiple stakeholders and resolve competing test resource requirements desired.
Self motivated to learn a new system under test and be proactive to meet program requirements.
Experience developing creative strategies to successfully achieve high-paced testing milestones desired.
Experience with USAF and USN fighter/bomber operations and weapon systems desired.
Test Pilot School graduate or Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) graduate desired.
Security Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a secret clearance and eligible for Top Secret/SCI program level or higher.
