RESPONSIBILITIES:A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Utility Engineer in Davie, Florida (FL).
Responsibilities include: Prepares preliminary engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, and specifications for water distribution/transmission systems, wastewater collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, etc. Conducts technical evaluations to support planning and design related to water and wastewater systems, and storm water improvements Senior Utility Engineer reviews construction plans, design calculations, or cost estimates to ensure completeness, accuracy, and conformity to engineering standards and practices Oversees data analysis by obtaining electronic data; Reviewing raw data for accuracy Analyzing data for trends; Developing written reports Prepares technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications Provides technical and administrative support staff; Responds to investigating questions or concerns Prepares and submits technical correspondence Senior Utility Engineer communicates with engineers, contractors, utility companies, or government agencies to discuss plans, specifications, or work schedules Completes special projects by preparing presentations; Participating in seminars and updating standards and procedures Achieves operational efficiencies by forecasting requirements, contributing information, and presenting recommendations Performs field activities such as site investigations, bench-scale and pilot testing, and water quality sampling Conducts pilot testing of treatment processes including operation, process, and mechanical troubleshooting Periodically reviews and recommends new or updates to tribe regulations, standards, and specifications associated with water and wastewater infrastructure systemsREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar area of specialty is required State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. 10+ years of experience working as Civil Engineer in water/wastewater treatment, conveyance, reclaim and storm water projects or related area is required Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Civil Engineering is required Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft, AutoCAD, Innovyze (InfoSWMM) and ESRI software packages Must be able to travel to all facilities and to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekendsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
