Role: The job is responsible for the monitoring, analysis, and response to alarms. The monitoring responsibilities will be in diverse areas throughout the enterprise. In this role you will monitor the enterprise technology, WAN, ready for business applications, Critical Facilities Infrastructure, and other processes. Using both proprietary and third party tools, the monitoring specialist will respond to and analyze each issue and respond via escalation procedures and coordination with on call teams.
Term: Ongoing contract
Pay Rate: $17.50/Hr
Shifts: Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm
Education: CompTIA A+ , CompTIA Network + certifications REQUIRED
Experience:
IT Certifications and/or degree or pursuing a computer science degree
Held steady job in the past either former military or service industry or security
Wanting to break into the computer science to gain entry level work experience
What you will do:
While working with the monitoring tools and processes, your main focus will be the timely analysis and response to alerts and issues that arise
Respond to all alerts and issues as defined in the escalation processes and SOP's.
Effectively communicate the issue and respond per the defined process.
Follow up and document all issues and note current status, open and pending items, and prepare reports for incoming teams.
Work with technology teams to create and modify monitoring documentation and processes.
Communicate externally with partners in the escalation path.
Execute scripted checks and processes to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
