This is a great opportunity to continue to grow on your mechanical skills.Duties include the following:Perform Preventative maintenance and repairs on rental powered equipment and hydraulic shoring equipment such as vibratory hammers and powerpacks, hydraulic cylinders, etc.Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basisPerform minor repairs on equipment and tools and tagging of equipment for rental ready statusEngine electrical systems troubleshooting and repairHydraulic systems troubleshooting and repairMaintain a clean and organized shop and work areaAbility to read and understand operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals from original manufacturerBe available and flexible in assisting in other workshop and yard activities as workloads dictateDemonstrate equipment for customersAssist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & partsOther duties assigned as neededJob Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordBasic understanding of schematics and diagrams – Hydraulic and electrical2-3 years of experience repairing/maintaining engines and hydraulics and/or trade school graduateSome travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance and for ongoing training and developmentSuperior customer service and verbal/written communication skillsReliable, team oriented individualAble to work overtime when necessaryAbility to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.Why join us?We don’t just “talk the talk!” We’re an award-winning company (recently named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2023) that truly cares about our people - That’s why we offer best-in-class benefits and perks that will support you and your family.
