With a wealth of resources and expertise, Disney Event Group offers comprehensive event planning, production, and entertainment services to bring magical and immersive experiences to life.The Show Director reports to the Entertainment - Creative Director.This is a Full-Time position.What You Will Do:As a Show Director on the Entertainment team, you will be responsible for crafting immersive event designs that captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression.

As a creative leader within the department, the Show Director will provide direction and collaborate extensively with multiple partners before and during production, including Producers, Art Directors, Music Directors, Production Managers, Show Writers, Choreographers, Talent Casting, Clients, and Sales & Service as appropriate, ensuring the creative concept conveys the story and emotions intended for each event, show or production.

Develop and implement creative concepts for shows and events, ensuring they align with the Disney brand and storytelling.

Direct and coordinate rehearsals, ensuring performers and technicians are prepared to deliver outstanding performances.

Integrate all creative elements seamlessly into the overall project, including lighting, sound, and special effects.

Collaborate with talent casting to select and audition performers who can bring the creative vision to life.

Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the event objectives and brand standards are met.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into show concepts and execution.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols throughout the production process.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

At least 7-10 years proven professional experience directing live entertainment experiences in theatre and/or directing experience in event show products.

Demonstrated knowledge of creative writing, stage performance, musical theatre, and technical theatre/stage craft.

Imaginative thinking to translate concepts into compelling experiences.

Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and partners.

Demonstrated innovation and creativity.

Ability to understand client needs and develop ideas to meet their objectives.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate creative ideas and concepts clearly and effectively.

Outstanding organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing, as needed.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management.

Standout colleague with effective interpersonal skills and positive demeanor.

Adaptability to wide variety of work environments.

Flexibility with work schedule, to include nights and holidays.
