I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers. Join the Publix IT Settlement Platform and Support Team as a Software Engineer where you will be a part of an agile team responsible for providing root cause analysis on system exceptions as well as delivering creative workarounds to meet business requirements. As a member of this technology team, you will have an opportunity to work closely with development teams and business partners in a high paced environment. Participate in requirements gathering, design review, and code reviews of new development to implement solutions that consider a frictionless user experience while providing lasting contributions to Publix corporate associates. Responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform root cause analysis on complex issues
- Provide support for applications in the teams portfolio
- Participate in an after-hours on call rotation supporting a 24/7 batch job schedule
- Gather and document system requirements from business users for urgent business requests
- Prepare detailed technical documentation for complex problem fixes from which program changes will be coded
- Coordinate and validate the deployment of application problem fixes into production environment
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 years of I/T experience in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment
- Minimum of 1 years coding experience leveraging .NET Framework 4.7+/.NET 6+ with C#, ASP.NET MVC, JS/jQuery, and object-oriented design
- Minimum of 1 years of data store technologies such as MS SQL Server 2019+
- Minimum of 1 years of experience documenting and supporting applications in an enterprise environment
- Experience with Visual Studio 2017 or higher
- Experience with PowerShell, IIS and knowledge writing Splunk queries and dashboards
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with Windows Services and SQL
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple assignments with similar deadlines
- Knowledge of infrastructure related systems client/server, workstations, servers, networks, and databases
- Understanding of Object Oriented (OO) concepts and multi-tiered development strategy
- Minimum of 5+ years of coding experience writing MS SQL stored procedures
- 5+ years of experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with Windows Services and SQL
- 5+ years of experience with IIS
- 5+ years of experience with Splunk
- 5+ years of coding experience using C#
- 5+ years of experience with systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of applications
- Strong knowledge of architecture and design of solutions in an Azure environment to solve business problems
- Experience in managing Problems and Incidents in HP Service Manager
- Experience in analyzing complex business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership
- Knowledge of Data store technologies such as SQL Server 2019, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, and Redis Cache
- Knowledge of Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC/Telerik Reporting
- Experience with PowerShell 5.2+
