Description Robert Half is currently assisting a stable organization in a search for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be an integral member of this growing accounting team and will report to the Controller. This hybrid opportunity is based in Lakeland, FL.Essential Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and post approved monthly journal entries.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies, including Sales Tax
Conduct and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including complex accounts such as bank reconciliations.
Manage and update fixed asset depreciation schedules, including additions, disposals, and sales.
Assist the accounting and accounts payable departments during quarterly and annual audits.
Oversee month-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accruals.
Coordinate and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual audits as required.
Calculate and process sales commissions.
Organize and update financial records.
Review financial data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Prepare and maintain monthly pre-paid amortization records.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Corporate Finance Team
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a similar role Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Demonstrable skills in the management of General Ledger and Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in Month End Close procedures Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
