JOB SUMMARY: Supports the Compensation Team with multiple facets of compensation at Universal Parks and Resorts, including salary recommendations, job descriptions, survey analysis, communication and training.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides salary recommendations/pay rates for new hires and internal promotions and demotions Ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Matches jobs to salary survey positions and completes salary surveys. Completes analysis of survey results and measures UO’s salary structure compared to survey data. Performs analysis and makes recommendations for structure/grade changes.
  • Assists with reviewing and grading job descriptions. Recommends FLSA job status and job grading by conducting job audits, surveying, and analyzing compensable factors of the jobs.
  • Assists with department projects and Compensation Season by auditing bonus and payout files, producing compensation and incentive opportunity statements, administering international merit, bonus program. Will track with Long Term Incentive program.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resources or Business required.

EXPERIENCE:3+ years’ experience working in a Human Resources environment with two years of that time with direct compensation analysis preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation from WorldatWork (formerly the American Compensation Association) preferred.
