Job Title: Facilities Space Planner Job Code: 12969 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Global Operations Space Management staff provides tactical and strategic workplace planning, relocation assistance and design services for all facilities in Brevard County, Florida. The Facilities Space Planner will partner with Business Units (BUs) to understand and analyzed space/program requirements and provide conceptual space plans/test fits and recommendations to the BU user groups. Essential Functions:

Program requests for renovations, oversee space utilization and provide interior design support for 1.5 million sq. ft. of mixed-use space in the South region of the US.

Interpreting customer requests, define the scope of work for Facilities.

Engineering estimates and develop AutoCAD drawings for demo/renovations.

Administering the Archibus database which provides the space allocation data used for metrics and reports.

Providing options of scenarios for space requests.

Conducting physical and visual audits and document work orders to ensure customer satisfaction in assigned buildings.

Collaboration with engineering project managers, electricians, plumbers grounds keepers and additional facilities staff for space maintenance and enhancements.

Supporting the forecast, development and tracking of capital and expense budgets for the corporation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience with Archibus and AutoCAD.

Licensed interior designer or architect.

Facilities certifications (FMP - Facilities Mgmt. Professional, CFM – Certified Facilities Mgr., LEED AP).

Knowledge of applicable laws/regulations including those mandated by OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPA, local Building Codes.

Experience working with engineering blueprints, process specifications and building layouts.

College degree in architecture, design, industrial engineering or related field

Self-managed/motivated – ability to independently set priorities, meet commitments with a desire to continuously improve.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).

Understand process improvement, and project management estimating, project schedule, construction, trouble shooting and problem solving.
