Plans, directs, and ensures the smooth and efficient operations of Cleveland Clinic Buildings and Properties. Directs department staff in setting and monitoring operating measures consistent with achieving the goals and objectives of the executive team. Provides leadership to ensure attainment of strategic objectives and the delivery of quality, economical facilities related services; other related initiatives, including quality, innovation, teamwork and service. Ensures new programs are developed, implemented in accordance with strategic planning to ensure the department meets or exceeds all assigned goals and objectives. Implements programs and operations to maximize customer and employee engagement. Drives integration of services (Facilities, Real Estate, Construction, etc) throughout the health system including risk mitigation.Responsibilities:

Partners with the Executive Director, Administrative Director, and the leadership team to implement actions to meet the needs of the organization and support strategy implementation.

Monitors financial performance.

Oversees operating initiatives, including facilitation of multiple stakeholders, setting and driving goals and timeliness, developing implementation plans and ensuring project execution.

Develops a management team that makes effective decisions and delegates' authority to most appropriate level.

Leads teams to execute on service line transitions, new services/programs and operational enhancements/changes.

Collaborates with all staff in the development and measurement of performance goals for quality, cost, growth, people and innovation.

Ensures that a continuous improvement approach is implemented to measure actual performance against established standards.

Establishes mechanisms to encourage innovation and to incorporate best practice findings into standards of practice and policies and procedures.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to include clinical/non-clinical departments, Institute, Division and Community Hospital leadership, and establishes and maintains external business relations as needed.

Other duties as assigned. Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the field of engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field required.

Master's degree or MBA preferred. Certifications:

Professional registration as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect required.

Certified Healthcare Constructor, Certified Construction Manager, or similar certification is preferred. Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills

Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Work Experience:

A minimum of 15 years of experience in the planning, design and construction industry including 5 years managing programs valued in excess of $500 million.

Experience within a healthcare system is preferred. Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings, and to move about construction sites in various degrees of completion.

Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.

Must have own transportation due to travel to multiple sites. Personal Protective Equipment:
