  • We would also prefer for candidates to have experience with the following:
    • Java 8 , Servlets, JSP, RMI, AWT, Spring, Spring Boot, Tomcat 9, Microsoft SQL Server, scripting/Automation
    • SOAP and RESTFull services, OAuth2
    • Apache CXF, Eclipse, MS Team Foundation Server, Junit, SoapUI, Postman
  • POS experience a plus!
The Sr. Programmer Analyst will provide technical expertise in developing and supporting point-of-sale (POS) applications. Create technical design specifications from business/functional requirements. Work with internal stakeholders to clarify system requirements as appropriate. Configure, program/create business functionality and unit test work to ensure quality. Assist senior team members in proactively identifying potential problems and issues. Actively communicate and assist in problem management and issues resolution.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical expertise for critical point-of-sale (POS) applications.
  • Participate in the development of functional requirements and design specifications.
  • Help refine conceptual systems design requirements and produce a detailed technical design. Prepare and deliver supporting technical documentation.
  • Provide programming and technical expertise to implement business solutions according to the technical design.
  • Ensure that all code / technical configurations and other work products are thoroughly unit-tested prior to delivery.
  • Conduct system / integration testing as appropriate. Participate in code reviews and other QA steps as requested.
  • Ensure accurate project status is always known and communicated.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure issues are analyzed, discussed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers in the preparation of user documentation and training materials.
  • Assist project team with determining the appropriate tools, technologies, and platforms for new implementations.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Minimum of 5 years Java programming experience
  • Minimum of 4 years development using Microsoft SQL
  • Strong SQL query authoring/analysis skills
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Demonstrated competency in accurately identifying the scope of work and preparing thorough, accurate, and detailed schedule estimates
  • Demonstrated competency in designing, programming, and unit testing complex n-Tier applications
  • Demonstrated competency in producing clear and thorough technical documentation

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • BS / BA in MIS, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics
