Sr UI/UX Specialist- Direct client- remote through COVID

Accion Labs is a leading provider of product engineering, development, and design services to a range of technology firms. Our direct client is seeking a Senior UI/UX Specialist.Senior UI/UX Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining UI designs and prototypes for larger, more complex features/site design changes with minimal direction and supervision. This role will contribute to design and requirements discussions with product owners. The Senior UI/UX Specialist should be proficient with user-centered web design principles,established design patterns and best practices, including responsive design. They should also be proficient with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and they are expected to have a working knowledge of design, prototyping and A/B testing tools. The Senior UI/UX Specialist should be comfortable in a collaborative team-based environment in which they will play a role mentoring more junior UI/UX Specialists, and driven to continuously improve and expand their own knowledgeand skillet. • Proactively identify and prioritize customer pain points.
• Scope effort and provide reliable resource and timeline estimates.
• Develop site maps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes and technical specs. Create implementable end products in the form of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ensure designs maintain WCAG 2 compliance.
• Apply knowledge of industry trends in web designbest practices, accessibility standards and developments to improve service to our clients.
• Mentorship towards more junior UI/UX specialists
• Makes good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
• Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared goals.
• Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-eccentric solutions. Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Adapts approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.

• 4+ years of hands-on HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Adobe CC (Photoshop,Illustrator), Adobe XD / InVision experience. 2+ years of experience applying established design patterns and best practices to meet unique brand and business needs.
• 2+ years of experience applying user-centered web design principles including responsive design.
• 2+ years of project leadership experience.
• Experience with B2C e-commerce.
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of the fashion industry.
• Experience proactively mentoring colleagues.Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
• Problem-solving skills, as well as good planning,time management and organizational proficiency.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 4+ years of hands-on experience, with 2+ years of project leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
