We are looking for a talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join our mission and be a key team player in shaping the digital future of Hertz.
Do you find yourself obsessing over the latest interactive technologies and design trends? Do you find it easy to paint the big picture in addition to getting your down and dirty in the details? You should have an eye for design, but most importantly, you possess killer UX, UI and research skills, translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artefacts, and transform them into intuitive and functional user interfaces using our design system. Also, collaborating with Product Management, UX Management, CRM, Analytics, and Technology to effectively translate business requirements into functional, achievable designs that deliver on business objectives. Responsibilities- Create user-centred designs by understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings.
- Conduct and participate in collaborative sessions with partners and stakeholders throughout the organisation. Confidently run design sprints or any other design thinking workshop.
- Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed specifications to product and marketing teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide leadership.
- Exhibit passion for emerging technologies, new interaction models, and product design.
- Defining key interface behaviors through experience models, personas, storyboards, site maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Building design artifacts necessary to conduct concept and usability testing.
- Evaluating different interaction choices based on feedback and iterative testing, refining shared interaction patterns and design guidelines.
- Supporting multiple new design programs, redesign efforts, or continuous improvement projects in a dynamic, diverse environment while meeting timely deadlines.
- Collaborating with other design disciplines to craft a human-centered approach to innovation.
- Experience in leveraging design systems to create visual designs for responsive websites and mobile applications. You will practically do rapid prototyping with a Figma kit.

- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited Institution.
- Five (5) years of experience design work in UX design, user interface, interaction design, product design, graphic design for digital products in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- A deep understanding of the human-centred design thinking approach.
- An understanding of user experience deliverables and artefacts.
- Excellent written, oral and visual communication skills.
- Current with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies. Effectiveness in working in an entrepreneurial environment to define, manage and prioritize workload.
- Finding your way with multiple dev teams and engaging them is a huge advantage.
- Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- M.S. in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Strategy, Visual Communications, Industrial Design or a related field or equivalent practical experience (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited Institution.
- Three (5+) years of experience as a UX practitioner (e.g., Interaction Designer, UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, Visual Designer).
