Role: Sr. Financial Analyst Cloud EconomicsLocation: Miami FLDuration: Long Term Job Description: Our Cloud Investment Strategy team is seeking a senior finance manager responsible for driving the financial evaluation of Cloud related engineering investments, partnerships, and procurements.This role is a great opportunity to:Lead commercials and pricing discussions and find creative ways to maximize probability of contract award, with strong ROI and minimum risksDevelop robust financial models to propose contract pricing and incentive structures, and to inform cloud profitability with a focus on gross marginEngage with customer or partner technical teams to evaluate the financial benefits to move to AWS .Be a trusted business partner to Commerce, Marketing, and Central Finance teamsEngage in continuous learning of Amazon Cloud services, infrastructure, operations, go-to-market, and long-term cloud economicsQualificationsBS/BA degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other technical discipline .minimum 5 years of finance experience, OR master s degree 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Passionate about the technology industry, and ability to engage in technical discussions, particularly in private cloud services, business models and economics.Deep modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial and business systems.Ability to think end to end from strategic planning through multi-year execution; and to model the financial investments and impact accordingly.Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and v-team efforts.Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority.Executive level oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex analysis in a clear, simple way.Thorough and detail oriented, yet able to see the forest for the trees.Ability to deal with ambiguity across a continuously evolving, fast-pace business.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to work under tight deadlines.High level of self-motivation and autonomy; ability to quickly identify what needs to be accomplished and resourcefulness to get things done.AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)Lead planning and analysis for EC2 annual capital and capacity planningParticipate in continuous planning of EC2 capital spending and server rack acquisition Dive deep, understand, and communicate to leadership insights on bi-weekly capital forecast analysis and commentary Work in coordination with data scientists from the AWS Forecasting team in solving new planning challenges Own and drive improvement projects during planning and forecasting cycles Provide controllership during capital purchasing process Drive creation of complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance Own and deliver on ad-hoc business support projects.- ID: #43565961
