Overview The BNY Mellon Developer Practices Group is an engineering group focused on building solutions and platforms to support developer relations and tooling, as well as their interactions across the BNY Mellon application development ecosystem. This candidate should bring a passion and dedication to building platforms and solving problems that directly impact thousands of developers globally. The candidate must be passionate about building scalable, reliable, and easy to use systems that integrate seamlessly and provide efficiency and productivity gains for our development community. Must have a proficiency with Linux, understating the essential commands, system operations and storage management. Strong scripting experience would be tremendously helpful. Agile team experience is a must, bringing ownership and accountability as a part of their core offerings to the team, in addition to their technical competency.

Responsibilities
  • Lead DevSecOps initiatives and build/enhance security operations within the automated DevOps framework. Lead efforts on identifying, implementing, and establishing the DevSecOps technology stack and toolchain.
  • Design, develop, and improve the standard automation pipeline and its integrated security processes.
  • Coach and mentor application teams on security practices in DevOps.
  • Research and explore tools and practices to scale security and DevOps activities in the organization.
  • PoC / Pilot CI/CD, DevOps, and security related tools.

Key Skills Required
  • 5 to 10 years- experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD processes for enterprise cloud and on-prem applications, with a focus on security operations, using tools like Gitlab CI, Jenkins, test automation, SAST, SCA, DAST, etc.
  • Understand the SDLC and design principles for large scale applications and the integration of security operations into them.
  • Ability to design, build and maintain CI/CD pipeline set up from scratch, including security analysis.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and systems such as Java, .NET, Python, etc., and writing code and scripts in them.
  • Work collaboratively with security and development teams across multiple Lines of Business.
  • Demonstrated quality and excellence for quality and continuous improvement.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated.

Acts as SCM subject matter expert, responsible for the definition and implementation of the technical methodology of the SCM department. Defines SCM plans and scripts/programs. Analyzes and documents systems requirements for the most complex environments. Recommends software design based on requirements. Analyzes and monitors the effectiveness of the use of technology in SCM processes. Structures and monitors technical activities based upon approved project methodologies. Collects and analyzes project data and produces progress reports. Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies and outcomes. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is preferred, 10-12 years of experience in a systems SCM environment, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
