Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. This role will be based in WEST PALM BEACH, Florida. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including handling Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Month End Close.Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date Prepare and post journal entries as needed Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and reported on time Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve department goals Handle all customer inquiries related to their credit accounts Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Maintain accurate customer credit records Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements Applicant must have a thorough understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations is required. The candidate should have a solid grasp of General Ledger management. Experience with Journal Entries is essential for this role. The applicant should be capable of handling tasks related to Month End Close. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills for problem-solving. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment is necessary. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. The candidate should be capable of handling confidential information with discretion. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Prior experience in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance setting is preferred. The applicant must demonstrate a strong ethical standard and integrity.
