Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the service industry, located in Rockledge, Florida, 32955, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with managing essential accounting duties, including processing accounts payable, managing the general ledger, and completing month-end close procedures. Responsibilities: Managing and processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Completing bank reconciliations and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded Overseeing the general ledger and ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date Preparing and posting journal entries as part of the month-end close process Utilizing accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage financial data Attending to any backlog of accounting tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner Regularly reviewing customer accounts and taking necessary action based on their status. Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to handle Journal Entries accurately Familiarity with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of accounting.
