Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant with advanced Excel skills to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles.Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and ledgers.

Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and financial discrepancies.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Perform detailed analysis of financial data using advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).

Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of relevant accounting experience.

Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and data analysis.

Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
