As we continue to expand our operations across Florida, we're looking for a dynamic individual to join our team and lead our low-slope roofing projects.Job Description: SuperintendentReports To: Project ManagerClassification: ExemptGeneral Description:The Roofing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing roofing projects with a primary focus on safety, crew management, and quality control. This position requires a strong understanding of roofing systems, construction practices, and safety regulations. The Roofing Superintendent plays a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of projects while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.Duties:Crew Management:Lead and supervise a team of roofing professionals, including roofers, laborers, and subcontractors.Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members, considering their skills and capabilities.Provide clear instructions and guidelines to the crew, ensuring understanding and adherence to project specifications and timelines.Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance crew members' skills and knowledge.Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.Quality Control:Establish and maintain quality standards for all roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and project requirements.Address any quality issues promptly, coordinating with the crew and making necessary adjustments to maintain project quality.Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the use of high-quality materials and equipment.Keep detailed records and documentation of project progress, including quality control measures and any corrective actions taken.Vehicles & EquipmentInspect vehicles weekly for safety issuesEnsure all crews have proper equipment, fuel, safety gear, ladders in good condition, etc.Schedule ManagementPerform regular job runs to determine status of all construction projectCreate and maintain 2 week look ahead scheduleManage material deliveries/audit materials receivedManage inspection process and insure all inspections are called in on jobs and passed.Safety Management:Enforce a comprehensive safety program for all roofing projects.Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and trainings to promote a culture of safety among the crew.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and requirements.Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly, taking appropriate corrective actions.Client Customer ServiceTouch base in person and by phone with all clients field personnel on a daily or weekly basisReturn all telephone calls and email promptly (within 2-4 hours)Routinely meet with project supervisors in the fieldPayrollSign off on dispatches once work has been inspected and is completeLog all dispatches into excel spreadsheet for payrollJob costing responsibilitiesKeep job materials and labor on or below budgetTypical hours of operation M-F; 6-close; Some Saturday dispatch and weekend on call on rotation with other PM’sOpen shop no later than 6:00 a.m.Dispatch crews no later than 7:00 a.m.Inspect crew’s activities by 8:00 a.m.On call for emergencies on Weekends on a rotation with other PM’s and Supervisors. On Call weekends, dispatch crews on Saturday from 6-8; and then remain available via phone for emergencies. On call is 1 time every 3-6 weeks.Legal Department & Rules and Regulations ComplianceSafety Plan complianceOSHA workplace and record keeping complianceWorkers Compensation complianceDOT ComplianceComplete other duties at the discretion of management.Requirements:2- 3 years of experience as a Superintendent, specifically in commercial and residential roof systemsAbility to identify and troubleshoot roof leaksAble to prioritize tasks and available nights/weekends to take calls and/or respond to warranty requests.Aptitude to train crew members and enforcement of safety policies is requiredBasic computer skills to include Excel and MicrosoftBilingual, both English and Spanish English is a plusCompletion of OSHA 30 course within first 90 days in positionGood communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.Good computer skills (Word and Excel) for generating reports, extracting data, and sharing this information with other team members in project updates.Hands-on and has the ability to fix it today.Have a VALID Florida License and good driving record.Have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Knowledge of roof details & installations experience in field management.Knowledge of roof repairs and maintenance programsOSHA, roofing and construction safety knowledgePresent a professional demeanor at all times.Project management experience and time-management skills.Roof construction / assembly knowledge and experience should include BUR, TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Tile, and Sheet Metal roof systemsShould be able to read blue prints and have great communication skills.Strong management and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills to articulate clearly with various departments­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Benefits (FT):Company sponsored health insurance401kDental, vision, lifePTOPaid HolidaysWeekly pay PI239435451 Apply
