Job Purpose: Florida Department of Education (Department) is seeking to select the most qualified vendor on the IT Staff Augmentation Services Contract # 80101507-21-STC-ITSA to provide Systems Software Programmer (Advanced) services to provide assistance with various development projects for the Agency within the Commission for Independent Education. The resulting contract may be renewed on a year-to-year basis, contingent upon available funds and the renewal of the referenced DMS State Contract. The incumbent will work on-site at the Department in Tallahassee, Florida, Monday –Friday, 8am – 5pm ET, and adhere to the published state holiday schedule. Although normal working hours are 8am – 5pm, due to the nature of the business, there may be times when the incumbent may have to work after hours. Requests for time off or schedule variance must be approved by the Department's Contract Manager per established process.Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.Experience

1. Must have experience with Microsoft Access, VBA and SQL Server 2012 environment.2. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and user staff.3. Demonstrated experience with developing applications for use in a web environment.4.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.5. Must be available to appear in the office Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm on an as needed basis. Primary Job Duties/ TasksThe submitted candidate must be able to perform the following duties and/or tasks:1. Responsible for augmenting the Commission Information Management System (CIMS) with the purpose of automating business processes to comply with CIE rules and law.2. Develop prototypes to enhance the CIMS web component. Recommend and make, with the approval of CIE contract manager, software changes to improve the performance of the CIMS.3. Develop modifications to the CIMS that will automate current business processes.4. Develop prototypes that can be used by CIE management and the Department’s web development team to update CIMS web component.
