Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The role involves executing various accounting functions, primarily focusing on tax preparation. You will be working in a fully in-office environment, utilizing software such as QuickBooks and Excel.Responsibilities: Prepare tax returns, particularly IRS Form 1065 for partnerships, using Ultra Tax software. Utilize accounting software systems, including QuickBooks and ADP - Financial Services, to maintain accurate financial records. Leverage your knowledge of Excel formulas to organize and analyze financial data. Provide customer service to clients as needed, answering inquiries and resolving any issues. Perform data entry tasks to keep customer records up-to-date. Use CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and Drake Tax Software for various accounting functions. Understand concepts of allowances and deductibles in tax preparation. Work with business partners and manage business partnerships. Ensure compliance with Partnership Tax laws and regulations when preparing Partnership Tax Returns. Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise and Quickbooks Online for specific accounting tasks. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, and Ultra Tax. Experience with ADP - Financial Services, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and Drake Tax Software. Understanding and experience with Accounting Functions and Allowances. Strong Customer Service skills, including the ability to communicate complex tax-related information to clients. Proficient in Data Entry and comfortable with large volumes of data. Knowledge of tax deductions and IRS Form 1065. Experience working with Business Partners and managing Business Partnerships. Expertise in Partnership Tax, Partnership Tax Returns, and Partnership Returns. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with Excel Formulas. Familiarity with Tax - Partnership principles and best practices. Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately calculate and file clients' tax forms. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Relevant certification or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
