Job Scope: The primary responsibility of the Technical Operations Manager (TOM) is to serve as a liaison between Percepto’s Delivery & Operations (D&O) departments and other departments within Percepto including R&D, Product, and Regulations. In this capacity, TOM oversees the internal readiness and develops implementation roadmaps for new product features, upgrades in system components, hardware upgrades, and any FAA Waivers introduced by the Percepto Regulations department. Proficiency in technical operations is instrumental. In addition, TOM will work on special projects assigned within D&O and provide internal consultancy on certain technical matters that arise in Percepto.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the development of Percepto’s product roadmap.

Analyze newly introduced features, products, or regulations and evaluate their potential impact or implications in the D&O integration process.

Identify any potential implementation roadblocks and develop solutions to mitigate such risks.

Establish Concept of Operations manuals (CONOPs) to guide the successful implementation/integration and future operation of newly introduced system developments.

Prepare new product and feature installation and implementation/integration instructions

Develop training requirements and training plan/materials for field engineers

Coordinate the implementation of new hardware or upgrades with D&O and other departments

Ensure a proper and well-communicated handover of all new features/products/regulations to D&O

Ensure that project status updates and timelines are communicated to senior management

Act as a liaison for R&D and/or Regulations for any assistance with testing new features, and products or obtaining new certifications, including coordinating the execution of such testing with Delivery personnel.

Requirements

Educational/Certification/License Requirements:

No educational requirement

FAA Part 107 license required

Special Requirements:

Two years operating and servicing Drone in a Box UAV systems

Two years developing and integrating CONOPs (Concept of Operations) for the aviation industry

One year establishing and formulating UAV maintenance manuals and protocols

One year supporting aircraft logistics and/or related operational planning

One year performing UAV airworthiness checks and failure investigations in compliance with established aviation authorities such as the FAA.
