SNI Technology is representing one of our healthcare technology industry aligned clients in the

Tampa Bay area in their search for a talented

Technical Writer for a

3 month contract with the possibility of extension.

Overview:
  • Our client is looking for a resource to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of their products. You will join a team of talented tech writers who work in unison with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our clients products easier to use. The majority of content will be geared towards API documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Developers, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to understand the needs and goals of the documentation and API
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
  • Create and maintain the information architecture

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required and 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to analyze what our API will be used for, identifying who the intended audience is; figure out what level of content will be required, as requested by a Product Manager
  • Ability to write documentation for a developer audience.
  • Experience in a Scrum/Agile environment
  • Familiarity with at least one web-centric programming language a plus. (Examples: JavaScript, Python, Ruby)
  • Familiarity with frameworks a plus. (Examples: React, Angular, Ruby on Rails)
  • An understanding of HTML/CSS would be a plus
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
