As a Senior member of our Project Execution team, you'll draw on your strengths managing resources and processes to shepherd technology projects and programs that typically span multiple lines of business and could have firm-wide implications. The role requires the ability to manage multiple parallel tracks of related and unrelated bodies of work simultaneously . Responsibilities include:Facilitate regular capacity planning meetings with tech leads and area product owners to understand domain priorities, estimated effort, and targeted quarter for delivery

Track and report on progress of quarterly portfolio initiatives across domains with tech leads & backlog owners

Review team velocities and application capacities with tech leads

Report on delivery progress towards business commitments

Partner with cross domain portfolio managers on allocated capacity constraints

Act as liaison between Product and Technology

Improve communications across applications

Understand full portfolio including business value, the teams aligned to the work and all major partners

Technical knowledge of how platforms/applications work and understanding of each development team and their specific skillsets

Manage Pr oject Management intake for product domain

Manage a team of project managers aligned to the domain

Be a part of the solution - lead your customers to achieve the best business value possible

Help us to improve - Establish best practices, innovate approaches to Program and Project Management, building a continuous improvement model

Maintain our control environment by ensuring programs and projects are completed in accordance with all Risk, Control and other relevant firmwide guidelines

This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:Ability to recognize organizational maturity and effectively assess resourcing, program structure, and project planning

Ability to understand project metrics, critical path, deliverables, processes, and effectively challenge team members, job families, etc. to ensure correct steps are taken for successful delivery

Willingness/Courage to make decisions in appropriate situations when no other leadership is clear; willing to make unpopular decisions

Ability to assess project and recommend best value approach/challenge appropriately

Message to the business on scope decisions, negotiate trade-off discussions as appropriate

Consistently demonstrate sound judgment in knowing when/what to escalate and to whom

Anticipate/Identify and remediates risks before they become issues.

Ability to facilitate sessions and deliver to large audiences that may include MD Level stakeholders

Ability to identify gaps in direction and ownership. Takes into consideration IT and Business needs to ensure that roles and responsibilities are clear and agreed upon.

Knowledge of global and line of business project management standards and methods

Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

Leverages existing relationships and builds new ones to deepen or expand agility

8+ years' experience in Project Management or equivalent industry experience preferably in finance/technology industry.

PMP, CSM or equivalent preferred

Proven experience in managing large scale IT portfolios in the financial industry in agile framework.

Proven experience working with senior management and executive teams

Demonstrated competence in leadership, team building, time management, organizational management, customer interface, and multiple stakeholder communications

Demonstrated written, oral, and personal skills that can bridge understandings between Business, IT and Customers

Prior management experience required
