Job Description:We are looking for a UX/IA designer at our corporate offices in Orlando, FL and we have a few questions for you.Are you naturally curious? Do dream in post-it notes and whiteboard? They will possess the curiosity to distill the inherent complexity of extensive business requirements and identify the right problems to solve. They will test and validate these opinions through research, usability testing, prototyping, and iterative product development to deliver usable, effective, and accessible experiences for our customers.This person will understand user experience design comprises interaction design, visual styling, and the consistent and appropriate use of voice and tone. They will be able to conceptualize, test designs, measure the response, and recommend direction based on feedback to deliver a design that supports a delightful customer experience.The successful candidate will also possess a cross-discipline skillset that can translate business requirements into actionable research that will inform both strategic and tactical execution of the design process. They will have a clear understanding of user experience methodologies and ensuring the work produced is useable, intuitive, intelligent, and accessible.As a key contributor, they will need great listening and communication skills as well as an ability to anticipate needs from peers, business owners, and executives to execute ideas with speed and precision.Essential Job Functions# Responsibility % of Time1 Work on the interaction design of our products and ensure they work as expected, across platforms (i.e. wearables, mobile, etc.). Strong understanding of typography, color, iconography, and other graphic assets work cohesively to deliver usable, branded digital products that enhance Client Destinations brands. 50%2 Researching and defining the information architecture for our digital products to ensure they are obvious and logical to navigate while also extensible to ensure future proofing for growth and technological advances. 20%3 Partner and lead product teams to define, implement, and deliver digital solutions that will engage our customers. 20%4 Other duties as assigned 10%Travel RequirementsLimited travel will be required in this role. Occasional domestic travel to perform research or meet with business stakeholders and/or vendors may be required.Minimum Requirements and QualificationsEducationBachelor or Master s Degree in design, human factors or related fieldTraining requirements (licenses, programs or certificates)Agile training is a plus but not requiredKnowledge and skills (e.g., demonstrated ability to work under pressure, or possesses good written and oral communication skills)Can translate customer behavior into an architectural system that supports great interactive experiences for our customers.Act as the advocate for our customers throughout the design process and maintain focus on their needs when crafting our digital products.Serve as the subject matter expert on our customers behaviors, needs, and values, throughout the design process.Proficiency in using multiple methods (service map, user journeys, card sorts, persona/archetypes, etc.) to design and deliver interactions and experiences that benefit our customers and owners.Experience integrating marketing objectives into usable and engaging interactive experiences.Ability to successfully articulate a point a view while maintaining an ability to negotiate benefits in a highly collaborative and dynamic structure.Possess confidence to collaborate successful and iterate designs based on feedback and changing priorities.Can review business requirements, write user stories, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research as well as an ability to transpose those findings across digital products and interactive experiences.Understand both generative and evaluative research and its role in understanding our customers, building empathy, and delivering digital products that entices, informs, and entertains.Experience with behavioral influencing through human understanding that drives designs to elicit an emotional impact from our customers.Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team which is focused on design thinking to solve the problems for our customers as well as introduce products that delightIntuitive understanding of the industry with a deep knowledge for what our customers want and the way our products should work for them.Thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere with the ability to move from one project to another seamlessly.Other duties as required Technical Skills:Highly proficient in modern design applications like: Sketch, Figma, Adobe CC, etc.Proficient in user testing to define and validate assumptions.Rapid contextual prototyping to deliver solutions and answers for our customers and teams.Experience interpreting web use analytics to determine key insights.Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack or JIRAExperience using GitHub or similar cloud-based versioning control system.Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and ability to easily interface with IT development team members and leadersKnowledge & basic proficiency with HTML, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScriptKnowledge of mobile concepts including responsive web design, responsive delivery, etc.Experience with Agile methodologies for project delivery.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Job experience (number of years, type/level of previous experience)5+ years interaction design experience on consumer-facing digital projects/products (websites, mobile, and enterprise-level applications)Portfolio of samples from shipped products that details candidate s role in the project process.Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.ComplexityDescribe the following:Level of decision-making authority (nature and scope of decision-making, extent to which independent action is taken)Must be able to make recommendations & decisions regarding features, prioritization, and planning within applicable processes in placeMust be able to make project decisions independentlyLevel of autonomy (supervision received)Directly supervised with moderate autonomy once direction is provided.The impact of his/her decision on the organizationMedium to High Impact.
